About the Project
StudioSC was commissioned by a young couple to gut renovate their new duplex apartment on the upper west side of Manhattan. The existing pre-war apartment had undergone a previous renovation that was now dated. We looked at enhancing the existing details while connecting a modern look that would meet the client’s expectations and create a timeless design.

EXIASTING CONDITIONS
Our proposed design focused on opening up spaces, improving natural light flow, and introducing modern finishes while respecting the building’s character. Clean lines, neutral tones, and high-quality materials were chosen to transform the apartment into a bright, elegant living space. The updated design aimed to balance contemporary aesthetics with timeless elements, creating a more harmonious and functional environment.
Originally, the bathroom felt cramped and out of date. The transformation introduced clean, sleek materials and modern fixtures, optimizing the layout for functionality and creating a bright, polished look that complements the overall design aesthetic.
