SOHO SLIVER

StudioSC was commissioned to lead the design to rework an existing warehouse in lower Manhattan with a new 12 story tower above. The concept was to renovate and restore the existing facade while creating new residential programming within. A narrow, well-lit garden entrance was created within an existing gap between the existing building and the neighboring structure. The new tower was designed using terra cotta panels to tie in with the old brick structure below in texture and create a balance between old and new.
