About the Project
STUDIOSC was contacted to lead the architectural design for this ground up commercial building abroad. Working in Medellin we were fortunate enough to collaborate with local teams there to help ensure the projects’ success. The temperate climate allowed us to open the structure to the surrounding nature preserve and take advantage of this climate and vegetation. We chose to create a gesture of a building rising from the forest with a base that terminated in tall arched brickwork. The exposed concrete columns connects the lower and upper portions and a curved corner with floor to ceiling glass is allows the view to seamlessly pass through the structure.

The building’s design plays with a blend of shapes and patterns, creating an intriguing visual narrative. The arched corners and large window openings create seamless transitions from the structure to the surrounding nature. The materials, including concrete and brick, harmoniously integrate with the environment, giving the composition a balanced, playful aesthetic.
The facade showcases a delicate balance between raw concrete and brickwork, and textured surfaces. The building’s minimalist yet bold structure interacts beautifully with its natural surroundings, creating an elegant, modern design.
