East Williamsburg Townhouse
Brooklyn, NY

About the Project
The concept for these two connected townhomes was contextually driven by responding to the street corner condition and the small green space which the end of the lot abuts. The large window openings are positioned to give the vertically cut townhomes unique views to green spaces at unexpected moments while being the generator for the unique facade.

The façade’s subtle brick tones complement the historic school next door, creating a harmonious connection with its surroundings. At the entrance, warm wooden detailing contrasts with the brick, offering a welcoming touch. Vertical windows and finely crafted metalwork add a modern flair, while the material choices ensure a balance between tradition and contemporary design.
The interiors are defined by clean lines, rich materials, and ample natural light. The staircase, with its sleek design and interplay of sunlight, becomes a central feature, enhancing the flow of the space while maintaining a sense of openness.
The balcony design extends the home’s connection with the outdoors, using the same wood material as the ceiling in the bathrooms. This thoughtful consistency in materials unifies the design, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic from the exterior to the interior.
