About the Project

With two project on the same side of a short block in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, StudioSC had an opportunity to define an architectural language that tied more into the adjacent historic buildings on both sides of the street. 78 Meserole Ave. has a simple yet concise expression of its façade, using brick tones that match the adjacent historic school façade, tying in a contextual look while expressing a more modern typology to reflect the purpose of this building. The top floor Penthouse opens up full glass, following the rhythm of the façade below, while light filled interiors offer a subtle take on luxury homes

The design of these apartments integrates natural materials with a modern touch, utilizing large windows that create a dynamic, open facade. The use of brick, wood, and glass ties the structure into its surroundings, while the design maximizes the lot’s potential.

The penthouse, with its expansive glass doors, opens up to panoramic views of the Brooklyn neighborhood. Flooded with natural light, this luxurious upper level also features a private outdoor space, providing an elevated retreat from the bustling city below.

Inside, the interiors are filled with natural light, offering an open, airy feel. Minimalist design, clean lines, and the use of natural wood finishes combine with neutral tones to create spaces that elevate everyday living, emphasizing both style and comfort.

The bathrooms are designed as personal sanctuaries, with large windows that frame neighborhood views. Thoughtful details and modern fixtures enhance the sense of calm, providing a serene and private escape.
