About the Project

256 East 4th Street is a six story boutique condominium project located in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan. The design was conceived as a bridge between some of the older brick building typologies in the area, to contemporary proportions that allow a new language to be introduced.

The facade is accentuated by the structural piers, clad in a deep red, roman format brick that crates sharp angles intersecting horizontally and vertically.

The Penthouse is shaped around a double-height social space that brings natural light deep into the interior. Overlooked by a quiet mezzanine, the open plan weaves together the kitchen, dining, and living areas, allowing the spaces to flow naturally into one another. The design focuses on openness, light, and visual connection, creating a calm, elevated retreat within the city.
