About the Project
This 50-foot-wide building facade in East Williamsburg explores contrast and craftsmanship. A bold use of color at the base defines the street-level experience and sets it apart from the upper floors, where finely detailed brickwork, using Italian handcrafted bricks, brings texture and depth. The composition balances contemporary expression with a thoughtful material palette that responds to the neighborhood’s evolving character.

The facade is defined by its meticulous brickwork and a carefully composed play of window sizes. Handcrafted Italian bricks bring texture and variation, while the shifting window dimensions introduce subtle movement within a restrained, proportional grid. The design balances precision and rhythm, giving the building a distinct yet cohesive street presence.
