About the Project

Since the development was situated on a triangular shaped lot we had to utilize as much of the lot as possible in order to make the layouts functional, however we also acknowledged that having sharp, acute corners would not create an inviting living space or design. Our instinct was to round all of the corners using brick as the main building material. Smaller windows on the front facade give the street facing bedrooms more privacy, while the side and back facades have more expansive glass openings.

The exterior of 128 Woodpoint Road showcases a seamless blend of function and aesthetics, with the use of warm brick creating a sense of cohesion and comfort. Large glass openings on the side and rear facades flood the interior with natural light, while the front facade remains more private. Upon entering the lobby, visitors are greeted by a space that feels open and fluid, a natural extension of the building’s inviting form.

Inside, the curves of the building’s corners are mirrored in the interior design, creating unique, flowing spaces that complement the structure’s exterior. Each room is designed to maximize both light and space, with walls gently curving to soften the sharp edges typically found in more traditional layouts, enhancing the sense of openness that feel both expansive and intimate.
