Narrow Lot Prototype

Our entry in the NYC Big Ideas for Small Lots competition was an exercise in sustainability and creative use of unconventional small lots. The unique challenge was to maximize living space within the existing constraints of zoning, and create contextual, sustainable, and ultimately livable homes. A completely open ground floor stretches from the front to the rear lot lines and encourages social engagement while providing unique open spaces that help alleviate certain restrictions that come from compact living.
